Sweet Sparkle – January Unboxing – Hello Beautiful

I decided that for the Sweet Sparkle January box I shall just simply do a blog post all about the products. It will also include photos I took of using the products on a makeup look that I created!

Every month Sweet Sparkle choose products according to a theme. January’s theme was called Simply Beautiful. It basically revolved around beauty that is kept natural. In fact we didn’t get an eyeshadow palette as we usually do; instead we got a single pigmented shadow – which I can just say is just lovely and simple yet gives the right amount of colour to your lids!

I also liked that this month’s card came with the list of products we received plus how much they costed and a little description about them! I hope that this will be done in future boxes!

The products we received were – 

Kokie High Brow Angled Eyebrow Pencil in Blonde

For the first time ever we received a BROW product! And I really love this pencil as it is angled so it helps you attain the eyebrow look that you might want.

I am still brushing up on my eyebrow skills but I think I am getting better. I love the bigger brows (kind of like Cara Delevingne’s!) I found that with this pencil I managed to create what I wanted to!

This retails for $10!

Nicka K Contour Kit

Now this palette confused me as there were three shades. I know that the one on the left is a contour shade whilst the one on the right is the highlight shade. But then what is the one in the middle? I used that shade as a sort of blush to give my cheeks some natural colour!

I actually liked the contour shade, it is different to other contour powders I have used as this one is sort of an ashy brown! But it blended well same as the other 2 powders. They all gave more depth to my face!

This retails for  $3.99 – this is quite a bargain as the quality is quite good!

Bella Pierre Shimmer Powder – Beige

This was such a cute pigment to get. I found it set well on my eye lid and did not move in any sort. It also blended well and you could easily create an eye look with just this shade!

With my eye look besides using this powder I also used the highlight shade from the Nicka K Contour Kit!

The Bella Pierre shimmer powder retails for $15!

Hikari Mascara – Jet

I did not quite like this mascara as it left my lashes all clumpy and did not separate them well. It also did not curl them if you know what I mean so I would not recommend this Mascara.

J.Cat Beauty Wholly Addiction Lip Liner – Acorn

I absolutely loved both lip products in this box! The lip liner is such a nice mauve-y shade I love it. It also was not drying on my lips! I applied it all over my lips.

This retails for $2.99 – I highly recommend these lip liners!

Cailyn Art Touch Tinted Gloss Stick – Love Stamp 

I am trying to wear more lip glosses and I love having this in my collection.

The shade goes perfectly with the lip liner – it is like a dark pink glossy shade. It also isn’t that sticky!

This retails for $19. 

The total price of the box therefore was – $65.98 – this is amazing as I only paid $24 for the box! 

So this month’s was definitely a good splurge!

I had quite an eventful day at work, we went to the Maltapost museum .. quite interesting even though we then had a long walk ahead of us!

I would like to add that this subscription used to ship everywhere however now it is only restricted to the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Spain and Australia. Those who live in the US are entitled to free shipping however, those outside of the US will be charged for shipping.

I live in Malta but since I have been subscribed to them for a while I am allowed to continue with the subscription and pay a $3.99 fee for shipping. However, if I decide to stop and restart my subscription I will not be allowed. At the moment I do not know yet if I want to continue this subscription.

Anyways …… let’s finally start and show off the products I got in Lip Monthly.

We now get different shades in the bag, and there is also the option of customising and choosing the colours you want to get in your next bag. Now mind you I did this and I was not in fact sent the correct colours. In fact I got sent colours which I am not too pleased about and see them as shades that I will not use apart from one which you will read about soon.

So the bag came in a pretty cool design. The retail value of the bag was of $98 and over which is quite amazing since the bag only costs $12.99 plus shipping.

Luna Lipgloss 

This retails for $22. This came in the shade ‘Titania‘.  I never tried out this brand before. It sort of is a metallic lip gloss and because it is the festive season I would love to use this during this time of year.

I can use this on its own or paired with a lipstick. This was my favourite lip item of this month’s bag mostly because I do not own any metallic lip products. So I could be biased because of that!

Ofra Lip Liner

This retails for $13. This came in the shade ‘Cherish‘ and oh my goodness, when I swatched this on my hand as soon as I opened the bag I was so disappointed. First off I had remembered that I tried out the new customisation feature on their website where you can pick the shade you want to receive.

And I am 100% sure that I didn’t choose this colour as this is not a colour I usually wear. And come on definitely not a colour I would use during this time of year !! I was so disappointed as Ofra is a really good brand !

Hikari Lip Crayon

This retails for $13. This came in the shade ‘Pouty‘. I have tried Hikari cosmetics before and even their lip crayon but I did not like this colour again.

Same story as the Ofra Lip Liner. It’s a better shade than the lip liner for sure but still not a shade that gets me excited to wear!

Freeze 24-7 Eye Serum 

This retails for $50 and over but I am guessing we got a sample size because I would not believe that a small tub like that would cost that much… or would it?

Now I don’t know if I want to try this product or not because I do not like applying anything to my face that I never heard of. So I guess this product I still have to test out.

Lip Monthly – August 2016 & New Facebook Page – Hit the like button!!

Hi lip lovers, 

I am back from LONDON !! And am determined to be blogging more often – well twice a week at least !!

I even have gone a step further. Since I soon am approaching the one year mark with my youtube channel I decided to spread the word out on my youtube channel.

Yes I have a social media account associated with KezziesCorner but I never associated it with Facebook.

Why? Because everyone that knows me is my friend on Facebook and therefore I did not want everyone knowing about my secret youtube life … until now.

Recently people have been finding my channel and I received such sweet comments from those close to me. So I figured that this is the best time to do so, go out and tell the world i.e. Facebook.

And so I did. I created a Facebook page called KezziesCorner (obviously) and also shared it on my personal account on Facebook, which was kind of a big deal !!

Am I happy about it? I think so!

Anyways where was I? Ah yes, this post is about the August Lip Monthly Bag.

Now I received my September bag already and since my August Lip Monthly video has come out so late – well my packet actually arrived late – I shall not be posting a september unbagging as I have done for previous bags. But for September only I shall be writing a blog post about the bag. But that is for another day!

Today we are dealing it with the August bag!

It was a hit and miss really.

The products I received were –

Seraphine Botanicals Rosy Cheeks 95% Natural Lip & Cheek Gel – $20

I don’t like this at all and I don’t see myself using this! It’s very sticky and patchy. Don’t see it working as a proper blush! Maybe a lip tint.

Hilary Cosmetics Dual Color Stick in Tawny – $15

I have used this as an eyeshadow and I guess I like it. But I am not saying I love it.

Lord & Berry Lip Liner in Romantic Rose – $10

Now this I absolutely love! It is a lovely deep pink toned shade! It is creamy and lovely on the lips.

Manna Kadar Lip Crayon – $ 24 (no shade name)

Besides the fact that I hate products that don’t have names, I love this shade. Summer is soon over but nonetheless this colour reminds me of summer! It’s a lovely fun coral shade. It wears nicely however it is not long lasting.

The Retail Value of the bag was $69.

Lip Monthly – April 2016 Bag!!

Hi lip lovers,

How are you all doing? I had a really relaxing week so far mostly because I stayed home as I was a little ill. So I did not end up going to work. But today I went back to work, and all those relaxing moments I had seem to vanish away and I am back to being stressed.

Am really not looking forward to tomorrow and Friday simply because I haven’t been to work from morning till 6pm for a week now so I am afraid of it. I do not look forward to coming home and falling asleep and waking up and doing the exact same thing.

Nonetheless, since I work full time at a school this will all be over soon because summer holidays are coming. However mine really will not last long, maybe a week. Because then as one school ends another one opens i.e. Summer School.

Eurh …. hard life!!

Anyways I am here talk – or in this way – to write about what I received in my Lip Monthly subscription bag this month.

I have to say it is not one of my favourites. The lip gloss it included was super tiny. The lipstick we received was of a similar shade to the one we received in March. And the eyeliner is not that good of a product. And also we got 2 lip glosses and let’s just say I am not too fond of those glosses. I mean come on … who likes it when you put on lip gloss and you are walking near the sea on a romantic date. There is the breeze and the waves of the sea swooshing about. And all you are doing and what you are focused on is the constant irritability of your hair. Constantly sweeping across your lips and getting stuck!!!
